Audrey's Guide to Black Magic 99 Cents

Hey there! Happy Dark of the Moon. When July reaches its searing finale and temperatures climb off the charts, I like to climb into dark, dank spaces and think about winter. That's why I'm running a Dark of the Moon special at Amazon. Audrey's Guide to Black Magic (Book II in the series, though I'm told it's easy enough to understand even if you haven't read the first one) is only 99 cents from July 26-July 28. The price goes back to normal the morning of July 29th, so snatch it while it's cheap. Delicious, cooling, wintry fiction for less than you'd pay for a bad cup of coffee. Not bad, eh?

Launching a New Imprint

Breaking news! My latest Young Adult novel, THE TRUTH ABOUT JACK, will launch Entangled's new line of teen-centric romances this winter. It's a Cyrano De Bergerac story about mistaken identity--very sweet and romantic, complete with a message in a bottle. The imprint is called Teen Crush and I'm so excited to be part of their maiden voyage.

Click here to see their blog/press release about it.

If you've got a contemporary Young Adult novel you'd like to get published, this is an amazing opportunity to submit to a brand new imprint. See the submission guidelines here.

Hot New Places to Submit Your Fiction

Sometimes, as a writer, it's easy to feel you're navigating a vast, barren wilderness all alone. You've slaved away on your manuscript; you've read and reread it. You gritted your teeth and persevered when the feedback was less than stellar. Now it's as perfect as you can get it, and you decide you want to go the traditional publishing route, rather than getting it out there on your own. You're ready to submit it to publishers, yet you find doors slammed in your face every step of the way. This road is especially rough for writers without an agent.

Take courage, writers! Here's a list of places accepting submissions in various genres:

Science Fiction and Fantasy: DAW (a Penguin Imprint)

Young Adult Fantasy: Teen Crave, a brand new imprint from Entangled

Young Adult Contemporary Romance: Teen Crush, a brand new imprint from Entangled

Adult Romance: Lovestruck (an Entangled Imprint)

Gritty Romantic Suspense: Intrigue Noir (a Harlequin Imprint)

Historical Romance: Harlequin Historical

Erotic Novellas: Cosmo Red-Hot Reads

Wishing you all kinds of luck and positive juju as you send your baby out into the world. Drop me a line and let me know how it goes!
